The vocalist and founding member of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash, David Crosby responded to a fan on Twitter wondering his opinions on Neil Young‘s music and claimed he was not a great singer but a fine guitarist.
As you may recall, in 1968, David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash
founded a folk rock supergroup named Crosby, Stills & Nash. Later, Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young joined the band as a fourth member, which made their name Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
Back in 2014, David Crosby made an unfortunate statement about Neil Young’s then-girlfriend Daryl Hannah claiming she was a ‘purely poisonous predator‘ who wasn’t worthy of Young’s affection. Although David apologized to his old friend several times both in private and on social media, Neil is still remaining silent on the issue.
Recently on Twitter, a fan named Chanuck asked David Crosby to share his opinions on Neil Young and his music by stating:
“David. I’ve considered Neil Young, not only a great songwriter and musician but a wonderful representation of Canada. Clearly, you’ve spent many years working with him. Is he held in as high revere by the music community you know as much as he is by Canadians?” More about this article in the link below…
