
Two hikers on the Borrego Palm Canyon Trail in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park were airlifted out Sunday as part of a rescue that park officials say may have been related to rising temperatures in the desert.
“Due to the ongoing rescue investigation on the incident, the trail is being closed for a short period of time,” California State Parks spokesperson Jorge Moreno told SFGATE in an email.
