4 main ingredients

flour 1 cup or more

2 tablespoons cornmeal

salt 1/2 teaspoon or to taste  additional salt and pepper, optional

pepper 1/8 teaspoon pepper

3 tablespoons buttermilk or milk

garlic herb 4 teaspoon garlic herb seasoning blend

peanut oil or vegetable oil  4 cups to fry it Oil for deep-fat frying

Try frying fresh and fast at high heat 300′ no one likes slime Okra frying fast enough to prevent slimy Okra…

Cut Okra into pieces one inch do not wash place in Batter then dip in fryer and cook…

Cook in grease till truns golden brown… crunchy

Cowboys stew aka Hobo stew, Campers stew

7 main ingredients

Stake 2 or 3 pounds fresh cut tenderloin or ground beef steak,  Sausage or Kielbasa, hot dogs, German franks, for Hobos stew

Bacon one pound of Bacon cooked off till fats cooked off drain off save the bacon greases and broth for the main stock…

fresh potatoes new potatoes or russet  potatoes 2 red potatoes and 3 russet peel off the skin clean and dry dice in to Small inch squares

onions 2 white or sweet onions dice Small Julianne cut then It’s sautee onions for at least 15 minutes with meat and spices

garlic cloves 3 or 4 cloves of garlic sauteed onions and garlic in olive oil

green pepper one green pepper diced up

salt pink Himalayan pink salt to taste don’t over salt it

white and black, red pepper 1/2 tablespoon

paprika 2 1/3 teaspoon

cumin A Dash of cumin small amount of cumin heavy spice

cayenne peppers 2 cayenne peppers or to you’re taste optional

hot sauce hot sauce to taste don’t over hot sauce the stew mix just bring to the table optional

Chilli peppers 2 tablespoons of Chilli powder or to taste

Beef steak stock one gallon

Optional Is Pinto beans or black beans if you put beans in make sure to get more time or soak your beans 4 hours cook time varies depending on beans size and texture who likes mushy beans or harder then a rock beans yuck… for Hobos stew 2 (15 ounce) cans pinto beans, with liquid

mix vegetables with carrots and peas green beans and corn 2 cans placed in in the last hour of the mib simmer

Optional ingredients: 1/3 cup ketchup or barbecue sauce, 2 to 3 tablespoons yellow mustard, you could use smoked sausage or pork sausage or even hot dogs instead of ground beef.

Cook for 3 to 4 hours medium boil heat tricky to find on a open fire

Brown the meats with the onion, green pepper and garlic. Do not drain…Add undrained vegetables and and seasoning…Simmer a minimum of 3 hours…

Serving suggestions

Serve with corn bread or crackers and sour cream and sharpest cheese also choped green onions…
