Jesus responds by quoting what is called the “Sh’ma Yisrael.” It’s a prayer that serves as a centrepiece of the morning and evening Jewish prayer services. It translates as “Hear, O Israel,” meaning “Listen, O Israel.”
So Jesus declares this to the young teacher and says, “The most important one is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:29-31).
Well it’s that time again Happy trails to you till we meet again Happy trails… 👣
